Tanya Gallo is a licensed registered dietitian/nutritionist and certified diabetes care and education specialist in Bellingham, WA. She is also a chronic care professional (CCP) and certified Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Lifestyle Coach. Tanya completed her education at Kent State University where she received her Bachelors of Science in nutrition and dietetics. She then went to Tucson, AZ where she completed her dietetic internship at Carondelet Saint Mary’s Hospital.
With over 9 years of experience in the field she has worked with diverse populations to provide personalized nutrition counseling and develop individualized meal plans. She has comprehensive understanding of the impact of nutrition on various health conditions, including diabetes, heart disease and kidney failure. She strives to help others make healthy decisions. She is team oriented and works very closely with her clients every step of the way so that they may reach their goals. She believes that prevention is just as important as treatment. This philosophy drives her methodology.
Outside of her professional life, Tanya enjoys creating new plant-based recipes, running races with her team Bellingham Distance Project and spending time with her son Owen, husband Eric and two dogs. She is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their health goals through customized nutrition plans and support.
